Velvet Dreams | Monet Vineyards | Luxurious Hockinson Wedding

Monet Vineyards has the aesthetic that fine art photographers & event designers alike search for in our PNW. To find that this location is a mere 20 minutes outside of Portland is mind-blowing. Owner Luisa DePaiva’s memories traveling around Europe while living in Portugal as a child fed her desire to bring some of that to her own home in Hockinson, WA. After years of building, landscaping, and fine-tuning, her property is one to behold.

While this venue is currently not open to the public as a wedding venue, it doesn’t stop the inquiries from rolling in. The demand is certainly there. However, with grounds that have been so carefully tended, it is difficult to open up the property to guests who may not have the same care & appreciation for it. Therefore, Monet Vineyards remains a prime location for photography sessions and intimate events that must be approved before reservation.

When I viewed Monet Vineyards for the first time, I knew immediately that I wanted to design a tablescape vignette that could be inspiration for a lush & elegant garden wedding. There was a particularly perfect spot that I envisioned a long row of tables being placed with the incredible home as the backdrop. Velvet, raw silk, and impressive garden roses were the main show-stopping details adorning this design. To me, velvet immediately brings up the luxury factor to 100. These details accompanied the already stunning venue and simply elevated one’s imagination to envision their intimate event here.

Such an incredible location demands a design that complements it. For this occasion, we decided to go the luxurious route and styled an opulent affair. Florals were in no short supply, nor where the textiles that brought the level of lavishness up, up, up! Anyone who plans their intimate event at Monet Vineyards will not be disappointed with the varying options of a backdrop for their memories.
